On July 16, 2015, Donald Harris Jr., a 20-year-old man from Pittsburgh, was fatally shot in the Hill District neighborhood. Harris was getting into a vehicle on Lombard Street along with another man when an unknown individual approached and opened fire. Harris, who was in the process of getting into the driver's seat, attempted to flee the scene but collapsed shortly after. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
