On October 12, 2015, Leonard Penn, a 35-year-old resident of Hazelwood, Pittsburgh, was fatally shot during a home invasion in the Mt. Washington neighborhood. The incident occurred late at night in the 300 block of Kamback Street. According to reports, Penn was believed to be one of three individuals who entered the home, leading to a confrontation inside the residence.
