In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 28, 2016, the life of Aaron Batte was tragically cut short. The 26-year-old Black male was discovered lying in the street on the 3900 block of North 16th Street in Philadelphia. Responding to a call at approximately 4:00 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers found Mr. Batte suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene, but his injury proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased by paramedics.
Aaron Batte, a resident of the 3700 block of North 17th Street, became another victim of the city's gun violence.
As of now, the case surrounding the death of Aaron Batte remains an open investigation. The Philadelphia Police Department has not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
