Nashawn Jones, a 25-year-old Philadelphia resident, was tragically killed on the night of August 27, 2016. The shooting took place on the 1700 block of North Newkirk Street. At around 9:24 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire and found Nashawn suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead that night.
