Who started the fire that killed 69 year old Kam Dip Chin?
Kam Dip Chin, a 69-year-old woman, tragically died on June 13, 1980, in an arson fire at the Hamilton Hotel in Portland, Oregon. The fire, which broke out early in the morning, was set deliberately on the third-floor stairwell of the building. Firefighters found Kam Dip Chin, also known as Marie Chin, in her room, where she appeared to have succumbed to smoke inhalation and asphyxiation. She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
