In November of 1971, the quiet life of a World War I veteran came to a tragic and violent end in his Tulsa, Oklahoma home. Roy Hill, a 79-year-old black man, was found deceased in a chair inside his residence at 2611 E. 29th Street North on the afternoon of November 6th. The discovery was made by concerned neighbors who had not seen him for a couple of days. When they peered into his home, they saw him sitting unresponsive, which prompted them to call the police.
