On the early morning of July 26, 1973, Veda Woodson, a 38-year-old mother of four, was heading home to Sperry, Oklahoma, after her janitorial shift at the First National Bank in Tulsa. It is believed she was making a stop to buy a soft drink for her sick son. However, she never made it home. Her 1958 Chevrolet was discovered by Sperry Police at approximately 2:00 AM at 8800 N. Cincinnati with the lights still on and the driver's side door left open.
