In the late hours of an April night in 2008, a quiet evening for Frederick Wilson and his girlfriend turned into a scene of terror inside their West Tulsa County home. While they were watching television, two or three masked men burst into their residence, initiating a violent home invasion. The intruders, demanding money, subdued the couple and bound them.
After robbing them, the assailants callously shot the 22-year-old male, Frederick Wilson, before fleeing the scene.
His girlfriend, though tied up, managed to free herself after the attackers left and sought help from a neighbor. By the time authorities arrived, Wilson had already succumbed to his injuries. The case has since gone cold, with no arrests made in the years following the brutal slaying.
Investigators believe the motive for the deadly robbery was drug-related, with the suspects likely targeting cash they believed to be in the home. The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office has described the suspects as two Black males. One was noted to be wearing brown work boots, while the other was described as having a soft voice and braids. Despite these limited details and ongoing efforts by cold case detectives, the individuals responsible for the death of Frederick Wilson remain unidentified, and the case remains an unsolved homicide.
