Ahmad Thompson, a 27-year-old Tulsa resident, was shot and killed on March 18, 2011, while driving his Ford Explorer through the Riverbank Plaza Apartments near 61st and Riverside in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m., when two suspects approached his vehicle and opened fire.
