On February 28, 2010, 27-year-old Valentino Verner was shot to death in the parking lot of the Chicken Hut restaurant located at 1500 East Apache Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The shooting occurred just before 3 a.m., a time when the restaurant was crowded with 100-150 patrons. Despite the large number of witnesses present, cooperation with law enforcement was almost nonexistent.
