In the late summer of 2011, a sense of unease settled over a quiet Oklahoma City neighborhood. Lorena Zamarripa, a 34-year-old woman, was found deceased on August 8th near the intersection of Northwest 43rd Street and Shartel Avenue. The discovery sent ripples of shock and sorrow through the community as details of her demise began to emerge. Investigators at the scene determined that she had suffered extensive trauma, leading them to classify her death as a homicide.
