In the winter of 2016, a burst of gunfire in northeast Oklahoma City tragically cut short the life of 26-year-old Chameeka Harris. On the evening of February 3rd, Harris and another individual, 25-year-old Kendre Demond Smith, were both fatally wounded in what authorities would later describe as a double shooting. The incident left a community in mourning and a family grappling with the sudden and violent loss of a young woman known to her loved ones.
