Ruben Alvaro Gonzalez, 43, was shot and killed during a carjacking in Oklahoma City on the night of September 9, 2015. He was waiting to pick up his son from a mechanic shop when two men approached, shot him, and stole his SUV. The suspects abandoned the vehicle nearby but have not yet been apprehended. Gonzalez, originally from Guatemala, was well-regarded in his community and was actively involved with Elim Christian Church.
