On June 20, 2016, 49-year-old Devra Crutcher was found dead alongside 24-year-old Adrian Hawthorne in a parked car in northeast Oklahoma City. Their bodies were discovered in a black Nissan Altima near NE 15th Street and Highland Drive. Both victims had suffered gunshot wounds, and the police immediately classified the case as a double homicide.
