In the summer of 2017, the community of Oklahoma City was touched by the passing of Kenton "Kent" Nelson Potter, a 63-year-old White male. Born on March 28, 1954, in Oklahoma City, he died on August 9, 2017, in the city where he had built his life. A graduate of Putnam City High School's class of 1972, he went on to attend both Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma City University.
