On November 3, 1974, Harold Earthman, aged 21, was tragically shot and killed outside his home on Dresden Street in Columbus, Ohio. The incident began when Earthman noticed an unidentified man attempting to break into his car. He chased the individual away, but as he walked back to his house, another man across the street opened fire. Earthman was found lying on the curb and was pronounced dead upon the arrival of first responders.
