Death by Force

William Forsberg, age 46, was murdered in the early morning hours of February 15, 1976, at his residence located at 6805 Mayfield Road, in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. According to law enforcement reports, an unknown assailant entered Forsberg’s apartment and lay in wait until he returned home. When Forsberg arrived, he was shot to death with a .22 caliber pistol. Notably, nothing was taken from his apartment, which suggests that the motive for the crime might not have been robbery.
