On September 1, 1973, Henry Jukes, a 78-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, was violently assaulted and robbed at the intersection of Paris Avenue and Mangold in Summit County. Following the assault, Jukes was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on October 14, 1973, approximately six weeks after the attack. His death was classified as a homicide by the Akron Police Department, and it has remained unsolved since then.
