On October 2, 2009, Dewey D. Jones, a 31-year-old Black male, was found unresponsive from a gunshot wound inside a residence on Bachtel Avenue in Akron, Ohio. The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m., and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Akron Police Department initiated an investigation into the homicide. As of the latest available information, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved.
