On January 13, 1991, Roderick Clemons, a 26-year-old employee working at a Church's Chicken restaurant in Akron, Ohio, was shot and killed during an apparent robbery. The incident took place at 1261 Copley Road. Roderick was working as an assistant manager and had been striving for a promotion despite his concerns about the rough neighborhood surrounding the restaurant. On that tragic day, Roderick clocked in for his shift but unfortunately never made it home.
