On March 13, 1992, 44-year-old Raymond Timbrook was found shot to death in Kirtland Hills, Ohio. His body was discovered slumped over the steering wheel of his car on Hunting Hills Drive, with the engine and heater still running. He had been shot twice in the head in an apparent execution-style killing. The location where his body was found was a secluded, underdeveloped area that has since become more built up with residential homes. At the time, Raymond was a well-respected engineer at CT Consultants and was recently divorced, leaving behind two teenage sons, Bryon and Scott.
The investigation into Raymond's murder quickly went cold. Initially, there was some movement in the case, including presentations to a grand jury in 1992 and 1994, but no one was ever charged. The Kirtland Hills police department, along with the Lake County Prosecutor’s office, has kept the case technically open but not actively investigated due to a lack of leads. During the funeral, a mysterious twist was introduced when a woman whom the family had never met claimed she and Raymond were engaged. This revelation shocked those present, and although the woman later retained a lawyer and refused to cooperate with law enforcement, her involvement, along with rumors of a possible love triangle involving a CT executive, raised questions about the motives behind the killing. Some family members believe that the murder may have been related to Raymond's work or other undisclosed business matters, possibly involving a hired gunman. Today, the Timbrook family remains hopeful that someone will come forward with information that could finally bring justice to Raymond’s case.
