Kennah Wilson, an 18-year-old young woman, was killed on August 29, 2008, in Oakland, California. The shooting occurred in the early evening while Kennah was standing outside with a group of friends in the East Oakland neighborhood, where she lived. The group was unexpectedly targeted by gunfire in a drive-by shooting, a tragic and common form of violence in the area.
