On January 16, 2015, Alexis Randolph, a 19-year-old woman, was tragically killed in a double homicide in East Oakland. Randolph and her boyfriend, Richard Livingston, 20, were both shot in broad daylight on the 500 block of 105th Avenue. The couple was pronounced dead at the scene, and the incident caused nearby schools to go on lockdown. Despite efforts by the Oakland Police Department, no suspects were immediately identified, and the motive for the crime remains unclear.
