On December 20, 1996, Michael Bollman, an employee at the Car Corral used car lot, was tragically shot and killed in Northwood, Ohio. The incident took place at 230 Earl Street. At around 12:20 p.m., the Northwood Police Department responded to a call from the car lot owner stating that Bollman had been found shot to death inside the office. When officers arrived, they discovered Bollman on the floor, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds from a small-caliber weapon.
It was reported that the last known contact with Bollman was around 10:30 a.m. when another employee spoke with him on the phone.
Despite extensive investigation efforts, the case remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made. The Wood County Prosecutor's Office and the Northwood Police Department continue to seek information that could provide new leads in this cold case.
