Caprishia Green, a 19-year-old woman, was tragically killed on September 13, 2008, in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. Green, a mother to a 1-year-old daughter, was struck by a stray bullet during a shootout while socializing outside her home. This senseless act of violence unfolded at around 10:25 p.m. in the Potrero Terrace housing project. Green's death marked the 77th homicide in San Francisco that year, adding to a growing number of unresolved cases as police continued to seek witnesses and information regarding the shooting.
