On August 1, 2001, Abdelmajid Chra, aged 42, was tragically shot and killed in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred in front of 44 W. 9th Avenue in Franklin County. Chra was found with a gunshot wound to the chest, and the Columbus Police Department took over the investigation. Despite efforts from law enforcement, the case has remained unsolved for over two decades, and authorities have been unable to identify the perpetrator responsible for the homicide.
