On January 5, 2006, Elizabeth Davis, age 49, was tragically shot and killed in a double homicide in Dayton, Ohio. Davis was found deceased in the kitchen of a residence on Vernon Drive, alongside 44-year-old Felicia Goodson, who was also killed in the incident. Goodson attempted to flee and seek help but was pursued by the assailant and fatally shot on a nearby porch.
The case remained unsolved for years until 2015, when Velis S.
Nelson, also known as Willie Dixon, was arrested in connection with the killings. However, the charges were eventually dropped due to insufficient evidence, leaving the case open. This unsolved homicide continues to be a point of focus for Dayton authorities, who encourage anyone with information to come forward in hopes of achieving justice for Davis and Goodson and providing closure to their families.
