Juan Francisco Roman, an 18-year-old Latino male, was fatally shot on February 22, 2009, in Long Beach, California. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. in the 2600 block of East Anaheim Street. Roman sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso and was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities from the Long Beach Police Department investigated the case, but details regarding any arrests or suspects remain unclear.
The police urged anyone with information to contact detectives assigned to the case.
Roman was survived by his mother, Angelina Romero, as well as his siblings, including brothers Salvador and Ernesto Roman, and sisters Brenda and Michelle Roman. He also had step-sisters, Cristofina and Delgadina Miramontes.
