On October 16, 2007, Anita Ruffner, aged 48, was found dead from a gunshot wound in her home at 1754 Bostwick Road, Columbus, Ohio. The Columbus Police Department responded to the incident and has since been handling the investigation. The case has remained unsolved, with no known suspects brought to justice thus far. At the time of her death, Anita was employed at Embassy Suites in Dublin, Ohio, and had recently retired from a 21-year-long service with the State of Ohio.
