On March 13, 2008, Tony Leon McClure, a 34-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was found dead in his apartment at 750 Canonby Place. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Law enforcement officers responded to a call at around 4:29 AM regarding an "unknown complaint," and upon arrival, they discovered McClure's body inside the apartment. The nature of his death was immediately identified as a homicide, and the Columbus Police Department has since been investigating the case.
