On June 14, 2009, Lourdes Tamayo, a 29-year-old woman from San Francisco, was found dead, and her death was ruled a homicide. Police later identified her estranged husband, Saul Gallegos, as a suspect. Gallegos had previously been convicted of domestic violence against Tamayo. Authorities issued an arrest warrant for him following her death, and the case remains under investigation. The tragic death left her family and friends mourning her loss, with public appeals made for justice in the case.
