On July 26, 2011, 18-year-old DaVontae Raglin was shot while standing on the porch of a house located on N. Paul Laurence Dunbar Street in Dayton, Ohio. The incident occurred in the afternoon when Raglin, along with another individual, was targeted by shots fired from a vehicle. Raglin was struck in the arm and temple, and multiple rounds even penetrated the house, which was the only occupied residence on the block, while nearby houses were abandoned or boarded up.
