On November 3, 2011, Melvin D. Scott, a 32-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed. The incident took place near Cleveland Avenue, and Scott was found by local authorities suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Despite significant efforts by the Columbus Police Department, there have been no arrests, and the investigation into Scott's death remains unsolved.
