Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams Jr. identified the victim as Justin Johnson, 24, of Midfield. A passerby discovered the crime victim just after 10 p.m. in the 2900 block of Avenue F.
Johnson was slumped over the steering wheel, and the car door was hanging open. Birmingham Fire and Rescue workers arrived at the scene, and pronounced Johnson dead.
