Jeremiah Holloway, aged 30, was tragically shot and killed on January 20, 2013, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place at around 4:38 PM at his residence located on Linwood Avenue. According to the police report, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Linwood Avenue after receiving calls regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Holloway on the front porch of the residence with gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was transported to Grant Medical Center by emergency services but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital at approximately 5:10 PM.
The incident appeared to be linked to a robbery, as witnesses reported hearing an argument from inside Holloway’s apartment before shots were fired. They also observed three individuals fleeing from the home immediately after the shooting. This has led law enforcement officials to believe that the altercation was premeditated, though no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The Columbus Police Department has urged anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them in hopes of bringing justice to Holloway's family and solving the case that remains an open investigation to this day.
