Erik Burks, aged 21, was tragically shot and killed on December 28, 2003, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred at 1336 Courtright Road, and Burks was found with a gunshot wound that proved fatal. The Columbus Police Department was the responding agency, and despite investigations, the case remains unsolved, lacking clear leads or suspects. This homicide has since become part of Ohio's cold case investigations.
