Brian Eugene Austin Jr., aged 29, was killed on June 24, 2013, in Columbus, Ohio. Officers were dispatched to a residence on East 25th Avenue in response to a report of a man down. Upon arrival, they found Austin lying in the threshold of a front door, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services pronounced him dead shortly after arriving at the scene.
