Summary based on 2 sources
Terrell Chambers was 30 years old when he was found dead on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, inside a dwelling in the 3400 block of Spelman Road in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of South Baltimore. The Baltimore Sun's homicide database lists the cause of his death as blunt force injuries. The Baltimore Police Department investigated, and the Sun's database lists his death as a homicide.

According to the Baltimore Sun, officers were called to the block around 3:40 p.m. that afternoon to check on reports of an unconscious man inside a dwelling. When they arrived, they found that Chambers had died, and police said he had "obvious signs of trauma to the body." Homicide detectives took over the case and asked anyone with information to come forward. WMAR's daily tracker of the city's violence noted his death in a single line, saying he was found inside a home "suffering from trauma to the body."

Beyond those details, very little about the killing has been made public. Police did not say publicly who lived in the dwelling, how long Chambers may have been there before he was found, or who first called for help. Some online notices describe the building as vacant. The record does not say whether he was attacked by someone he knew or by a stranger, or whether investigators ever identified a suspect.

Little has been published about his life either. No obituary, memorial page or family fundraiser that could be clearly tied to him was found for this story. His name is shared by at least one other Baltimore man, a performer who is still active, so search results for it can be misleading. Chambers was remembered publicly when his name was read on WYPR's "Names of Baltimore's Fallen" in July 2022, and when WMAR included him in its "Not Just a Number" gallery of the city's homicide victims that year. Surely he had family and friends who remember who he was, but their memories have not entered the public record.

Cherry Hill sits on a peninsula in South Baltimore along the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River, somewhat cut off from the rest of the city by water, rail lines and highways. Much of the neighborhood was built in the years after World War II, including one of the city's largest public housing developments. Spelman Road is one of the neighborhood's residential streets, lined with low-rise homes and apartment buildings.

After the unrest of 2015, Baltimore recorded more than 300 homicides a year for eight straight years, and the share of killings that ended in an arrest fell sharply.

No arrest, criminal charge or court case connected to the death of Terrell Chambers could be found in news archives or public records. More than four years later, there is no public sign that anyone has been held responsible. Anyone who spent time on Spelman Road in Cherry Hill in early July 2022, or who knew where Chambers had been staying and who he was with in the days before he was found, may know something that could help. Even a small detail, such as a name overheard, a vehicle seen nearby or a conversation remembered, can help detectives move a case forward.
