On December 22, 2017, James Virgil Johnson, aged 61, was found fatally shot in front of a building on the 2900 block of Cleveland Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. Columbus Police responded to the report of an unresponsive person at approximately 1:12 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services pronounced him dead at the scene at 1:21 a.m.
