Hugo Cesar Castro, an 18-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, was shot and killed on January 7, 2008. His body was discovered near the Wingate Place Apartments on Nations Ford Road, in proximity to a nearby automotive shop and gas station. Officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene early in the morning, where Castro was pronounced dead. His case remains unsolved, with authorities still seeking information that could lead to the identification and arrest of those responsible.
