On September 26, 2011, 33-year-old Jarquis "Jaq" Antoine Howie was shot and killed in the parking lot of 2705 Milton Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. Howie had just exited a friend’s apartment when the shooting occurred. Earlier that day, he was reportedly involved in an altercation at a nearby business, KT Express, located at 2824 Milton Road.
