In the quiet of a Las Vegas nursing home on a summer morning, a tragedy unfolded that ended the lives of a Pahrump couple. On July 19, 2026, 85-year-old Carol Gilmore was found dead in her room at the Advanced Health Care of Las Vegas facility. The Clark County Coroner's Office would later confirm that she died from a gunshot wound to the chest, and her death was officially ruled a homicide. The grim discovery was made by the nursing staff, who had heard no reports of gunfire.
