In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 9, 2026, the life of 32-year-old Sergio Raynaldo Mata was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The fatal encounter unfolded around 2 a.m. in the 5000 block of Crossover Road in San Marcos, Texas.
