On the evening of June 18, 2026, a violent encounter in a Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, home tragically ended the life of 26-year-old Layzon Breland. The events of that Thursday began with a physical altercation in the front yard of Breland's residence on Chelsea Circle in Coolbaugh Township. The dispute escalated dramatically when the other man involved in the fight forced his way into Breland's home, armed with a handgun. Breland retreated upstairs to his bedroom, but his assailant pursued him.
