Stephen Mineo, a 32-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, tragically died on July 15, 2017, in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. His death was the result of a gunshot wound to the head, inflicted by his girlfriend, Barbara Rogers. Rogers claimed that Mineo had asked her to shoot him due to their involvement in an online cult led by Sherry Shriner, which focused on apocalyptic alien theories. However, the prosecution argued that Rogers could have prevented the shooting and that it was not an accident.
