On November 25, 2013, 29-year-old Micah Christopher Atkinson was shot and killed in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred at the Kimmerly Glen Apartments on Endolwood Road. Atkinson, along with another man, was found suffering from gunshot wounds. While both were rushed to the hospital, Atkinson tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities do not believe this shooting was random, suggesting that one of the victims was specifically targeted.
However, no suspects were immediately apprehended, and the investigation into his death remained ongoing, with his family desperately seeking justice. Atkinson's family, particularly his brother Curtis, expressed their deep sorrow over his loss, noting how Atkinson's young daughter had to experience her father’s burial on her birthday.
