James Trujillo, a 46-year-old Hispanic/Latino man, was killed during a burst of violence that unfolded across Pierce County, Washington, during the early morning hours of July 8, 2026. Although the case was initially associated with the Puyallup area because it was connected to another killing there, authorities reported that Trujillo was actually shot in Tacoma.
