James Trujillo, a 46-year-old man, was shot and killed during a closely connected series of family-related homicides in Pierce County, Washington, during the early morning hours of July 8, 2026. Although he was associated with the Puyallup area, authorities found him outside his family's home in Tacoma after officers were dispatched to reports of gunfire in the 6900 block of East D Street shortly after 3:00 a.m. He had suffered fatal gunshot wounds, and efforts to save him were unsuccessful.
