On March 10, 2016, 24-year-old Michael Jefferies Jr. was fatally shot in east Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred near Parkland Circle, close to East W.T. Harris Boulevard. Jefferies was one of three men shot in the area that afternoon. Emergency services arrived on the scene and transported Jefferies and the other victims to the hospital, where Jefferies succumbed to his injuries.
