On March 10, 2016, 24-year-old Michael Jefferies Jr. was fatally shot in east Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred near Parkland Circle, close to East W.T. Harris Boulevard. Jefferies was one of three men shot in the area that afternoon. Emergency services arrived on the scene and transported Jefferies and the other victims to the hospital, where Jefferies succumbed to his injuries.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department did not believe the shooting was random and initiated an investigation to identify the suspects. His family, devastated by the loss, urged anyone with information to come forward.
