A quiet Sunday morning in Soledad, California, was shattered by gunfire on May 31, 2026, leaving a young man dead and a community searching for answers. Miguel Angel Godoy Mendez, a 29-year-old resident of King City, was discovered on the 100 block of West Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
