On a Tuesday evening in the quiet community of Vale, North Carolina, the life of Rusty Dwayne Johnson, a 37-year-old White man, was tragically cut short. On June 9, 2026, deputies from the Catawba County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a shooting at a residence on Dansbury Lane. Upon their arrival, they discovered Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
